Vice President of Elementary Choirs – Kaylee Grose

 

Kaylee Grose is a choir director at Bolivar Middle School, where she teaches choir and general music. She also directs the Children’s Chorus of Springfield alongside Krista Smith, where she teaches singers from ages 6-18. Kaylee graduated with her degree in Vocal Music Education from Missouri State University in 2021. She is dedicated to fostering a love of music in all her students and creating a positive, inclusive learning environment. Outside of school, Kaylee enjoys singing with the Queen City Chorale as well as playing her trombone and singing with the Springfield Community Jazz Ensemble!

2024/25 SCMMEA Elementary & Junior High Honors Choir Information:
1) Fill out the Registration form; this form will close at midnight on December 20, 2024.

2025 SCMMEA Clinician: Jason Huneycutt 

Jason Huneycutt has over twenty years experience as a choral director and voice and piano instructor. He served as Choral Director for Bolivar and Nixa Public Schools, where his choirs received multiple awards including the Sweepstakes Trophy at the Worlds of Fun Festival of Choirs and three invitational performances at MMEA conferences in 2008, 2010 and 2015. Huneycutt earned a BME in 2002 from Evangel University and a MM in Choral Conducting from Missouri State in 2011. Huneycutt is in demand as a clinician throughout Missouri and the United States. In addition, he maintains a busy private voice and piano studio, Cutt Above Music Studio, in Springfield, Missouri. Most importantly, he is grateful to share his passion for music with young people every day.
